Do I need a gravel bike?

No. A cyclocross or mountain bike is fine. Decent tyres matter more than the frame.

Where do the routes start?

Most start in London or a short train ride out. Each route page says where.

Are any good for beginners?

Yes. Start with the Green routes. Low fuss and beginner friendly. The grades page explains the rest.

Can I ride them all year?

Yes, but chalk and clay change with the weather. Quick in summer, slow after rain. Each route has a Mud-O-Meter rating so you know what you're in for.

What do I get?

A GPX file that works on Garmin, Wahoo and phone apps. Many routes also come with a printable Ride Guide.

What if a path has closed?

It happens. Bridleways close without warning. Tell me and I'll check it and fix the route.
