Ride Level: Blue - Moderate

Gravel/CX MTB | GPX Route |  Natural, Gravel and Single Track | 30 km/19 miles | 4 to 5 hours

A hilly blue route but nevertheless fun to ride, catch the train to Epsom and ride out to Box Hill, not to climb the famous zig-zag road but the lesser-known but equally exhilarating gravel climb.  Stop at the viewpoint for glorious views of the Weald before winding your way back across the Surrey heaths to Epsom

Beginner gravel rider here - loved the forest paths that were gravel-road like, but some parts were scarcely paths and seemed more like MTB trails to me. Got there in the end but it was harder than I expected - suggest this not be listed in the ‘moderate’ category? :) - but the view from the top of Box Hill was worth it. I wonder if you could offer a variation on the route that had road options to skip the most challenging sections….
