Hidden Tracks Gravel Training Camp
Málaga to Almería | 6 Days Supported Gravel Riding
This isn't a beginner camp. It isn't a holiday. It's six days of advanced gravel training.
Six days of gravel training across southern Spain. Graded routes built to push you, with two ride guides on the road and a support van behind you.
Hills first. Then olive country. Then the desert. Then the mountains. Then the sea.
£1,950.00 (shared room)

What makes this different
This doesn't loop. It crosses.
Plenty of operators run gravel weeks in Andalucía. Most pick one region and loop it.
Out of Málaga and into the hills above the city. Through olive country with the Sierra Nevada on the horizon. Into the desert badlands east of Granada, where the gravel turns to old railway line and the canyons do the talking. Up into the Sierra de Baza. Down to the Mediterranean at Almería.
Six days riding, five different kinds of terrain. The landscape changes under you as the week goes on, and so does the climbing, the heat, and what the gravel is actually made of.
Graded routes mean you're never stuck riding beyond, or below, what you came for. Stronger riders get the longer, rougher options. Everyone regroups for lunch.

Who this is for
Built for riders who already ride off-road.
This is for experienced riders who already ride off-road. You know how a bike moves under you on loose gravel. You've done climbs that hurt and descents that demand attention. You're not coming here to learn that, you're coming here to get stronger at it.
Graded routes mean a genuine range of ability can ride together, but the floor is real: confident on mixed terrain, capable of three or more hours a day, comfortable making decisions on loose ground at speed.
Stronger riders should push the harder lines. That's what they're there for. Lunch stops mean nobody's locked into a route that isn't working for them that day.
If you're after a relaxed cycling holiday with the occasional gravel section, this isn't it. If you want a week that leaves you riding better than you arrived, it might be exactly it.
Need to know
Trip information.
The Rides
Two graded routes most days: a harder option for technical or longer terrain, an easier option with a steadier pace. Both fully guided. Groups regroup at lunch, swap routes for the afternoon if you want to.
Rider Level & Grading
Hidden Tracks Grading, Green to Black. This camp sits at Blue to Black. You should be a confident off-road rider, comfortable on mixed terrain for 3+ hours a day. It's built to push you, not introduce you to gravel riding.
Group Size
8–10 riders total. Riding groups of no more than 6, including the guide.
Support
Each group rides with its own guide. A support van runs the route with two crew, carrying luggage and ready for mechanicals or a lift if you need one.
Accommodation
Locally owned hotels throughout, no chains, no generic stays. Expect real variety: comfortable cave rooms on the edge of the Gorafe Desert, a friendly rural retreat near the Alhambra in Granada, and in Granada itself, a hotel that's pure kitsch vintage glamour. More on each in our ride guides.
Flights & Transfers
No meeting times, no waiting around the airport. Fly into Málaga any time on the 13th. The metro is bike-box friendly and runs frequently straight into the city centre, with the hotel just two minutes from the stop. Airport to hotel door is under 40 minutes and costs €3–4. Plenty of time to unpack and fettle your bike on the hotel's large terrace before the group dinner that evening. Fly home any time after breakfast on the 20th.

Questions
FAQs.
What bike do I need?
A gravel bike set up tubeless, 40mm+ tyres recommended. Recently serviced, this isn't the week to find out your bottom bracket's on its way out.
I'm not sure which grade I'd ride. How do I choose?
Most riders move between grades through the week depending on how their legs feel. Email us your recent riding and we'll tell you straight where you'd sit.
What if I can't keep up with my group?
You won't be on your own, groups are capped at 6 including the guide, and the van is never far. But be honest with yourself before you book: this is built for riders who can already manage 3+ hours on mixed terrain, most days.
Is this trip for racers only?
No. This is an advanced gravel training camp, not a race. It's for competent, experienced riders who want to get better, whether that's training for an event or just wanting a harder week than they'd get at home.
How does payment work?
The £200 deposit is paid through Eventrac at booking and confirms your place. The remaining balance is paid directly to us by bank transfer, 4 weeks before departure, rather than through Eventrac. It keeps costs down on both sides, and we'll send full details well ahead of the deadline.
