Every rider in The Wrecker carries a live GPS tracker for the full 740 km. Their dot updates on the map in real time, you can watch progress across the country as it happens, day and night, from Land's End to Herne Hill.
This is dot watching: refreshing a map to see a small dot creep across Bodmin Moor, stall for six hours somewhere in the Quantocks, then start moving again at 4am. It is a genuinely strange way to spend an evening. It is also very hard to stop doing once you start.
Riders will stop to eat, bivvy on the hills, push through the night, or sit still for longer than you'd expect. That's normal. A dot not moving for a few hours usually means someone's asleep, not in trouble.
