Cyclocross Coaching FAQs
Do I need a cyclocross bike?
No. A cyclocross bike is ideal, but a gravel bike works well for most sessions.
As you get more into racing, you’ll likely move towards a dedicated cyclocross bike — but it’s not essential to get started.
Is this suitable if I’ve never raced cyclocross?
Absolutely. Sessions are designed for all levels, including riders completely new to cyclocross.
We’ll cover the fundamentals and build your confidence step by step.
What cyclocross skills will I learn?
You’ll learn key cyclocross skills including mounting and dismounting, cornering, riding off-camber sections, handling mud and barriers, and improving race efficiency.
Can this help me race faster?
Yes. Coaching focuses on the small details that make a big difference in cyclocross, from line choice and cornering to efficiency and race craft.
Where do cyclocross sessions take place?
Sessions run in and around London, using parks and local courses that replicate real cyclocross race conditions.
What should I bring?
Bring your bike, helmet, suitable clothing for the conditions, and basic spares.
Most importantly — come ready to ride, learn and get stuck in.
Are sessions 1:1 or group-based?
Both options are available. You can book a one-to-one session for focused coaching or join a small group for a more social experience.
