Looking for gravel coaching in London? Hidden Tracks offers practical, real-world coaching to help you build confidence, improve technique and ride more smoothly across mixed terrain.
Gravel riding opens up a different world — quiet lanes, woodland trails and long days linking it all together. But it also brings new challenges: loose surfaces, changing conditions and the need to ride efficiently over distance. That’s where coaching makes the difference.
Why Gravel Riding Needs Specific Skills
Gravel isn’t just road riding with wider tyres.
You’re dealing with shifting surfaces, steeper climbs, faster descents and terrain that changes constantly beneath you.
Small improvements in technique — body position, braking, line choice — make a big difference. Not just in speed, but in confidence and enjoyment.
What You’ll Learn
Sessions focus on the skills that matter most for real riding:
-
Cornering on loose and mixed terrain
-
Climbing and descending with control
-
Braking and body position
-
Riding efficiently over longer distances
-
Pacing and managing effort across varied terrain
Everything is practical, applied on real trails — not just drills in a field.

hi Charlie
I’m looking to improve my gravel cycling skills – not to be competitive, but just to give me more confidence.
I’ve just come back from a gravel week in Finland, which was special, but felt like I’d have got more out of it if I’d had a bit more confidence in my descending and single track skills. I’d describe myself as not a beginner but not yet a confident intermediate.
I’m hoping for something more than just ‘go for it!’ so am reaching out to you for that reason and because of your extensive experience.
If you’d be up for something like a 2-hour skills coaching, probably just me but I have 2 gravelling friends, would you let me know whether we can have a chat on the phone to see if it would work?
Thanks
Chris
