Ride Description
Although longer than most blue rides this route is graded as moderate to reflect the amount well maintained tarmac cycle paths in the first 18 miles of the route. Leaving the city of quiet roads until the Arsenal where the route joins the parkland walks to Alexandria Palace.
From Arnos Grove the route follows the linear park along the Pymme’s Brook until it reaches the countryside at Arkley.
Well maintained gravel routes lead almost to the Cathedral door itself, plan to spend some time exploring the centre of St Albans – it retains a surprisingly large number of medieval buildings!
