Dulwich Paragon's OFF- Road extravaganza

Five days of unforgettable gravel riding

30th March to 6th April 2025

'The best off-road riding in the World' IMHO

This is seriously shit hot off-road, dare I say 'gravel' riding. With mile upon mile of unbroken dirt road to explore in some of the most staggeringly beautiful scenery, it certainly ranks at the top of my riding experience.

The first few days we'll be based in Granada, staying in gypsy caves opposite the Alhambra Palace before venturing out for a 3 day tour into the Gorafe Desert, aka Badlands.

Highlights

Fabulous Gravel

Covering 400km with just one gate, the gravel riding here is some of the most fabulous you'll ever encounter.

Stay in Caves

Stay in the gypsy caves of the the Albaicin district of Granada.

GORAFE DESERT

Ride through the incredible scenery of the Gorafe Desert aka Badlands

Great Riding

Gnarly climbs or flowing 15 km descents through pine forests, it's got it all.

Flamenco night

Enjoy a barbeque on the terrace overlooking the Alhambra Palace followed by a private Flamenco Tableau

Traditional Food

Eat simply, eat well with homecooked traditional Andalusian food in the bars in small villages.

INTINERARY

DAY 1

Travelling to Granada

Day 2

A warm up 60 km ride into the mountains following an old tram track to have lunch in a shady café on the riverside

Day 3

A slightly longer cycle through the Olive and Almond groves to the west of Granada, almost entirely on gravel, you'll love the long flowing descents back into Granada.

Gather for a barbeque on the terrace overlooking the Alhambra with a private Flamenco tableau after dinner.

Day 4

Set off across the mountains on our three day adventure into the heart of the Badlands.

The long climb is amply rewarded with a long 25km descent to the edge of the desert.

Day 5

Welcome to the Badlands!

Your first glimpses of the desert come from the old railway line, and the scenery and riding just get better with every kilometre.

Stop for lunch in a tiny village to enjoy home-cooked tapas before heading out to the heart of the desert.

Day 6

The desert gradually gives way to olive and almond groves as we head back towards Granada along the glorious gravel roads connecting pretty little villages.

Day 7

Travelling - we'll arrange a transfer to Malaga Airport, arriving at the Airport at 10 am

Accommodation

We're staying in locally owned caves and traditional houses, which are simply but comfortable furnished.

In Granada, we're based from a series of caves in Albaicin, the traditional home of the gypsys of Andalucía and the heart of the Flamenco culture.

The communal terrace has the most stunning view overlooking the Alhambra Palace.
