South Downs Way
Friday 20th June
Can you ride 100 miles and climb 3000m, off road, in a day?
Don't underestimate this challenge....
Intinerary
Catch the first train out of Waterloo to Winchester and have time for a quick coffee before riding through Winchester and beyond...
Swap the tarmac for miles of uninterrupted gravel, with paths generously fringed by wildflowers, as if nature decided to outdo itself just for your ride.
After a few hours of pedalling, stop for a quick break at one of the trailside cafés.
It's just an endless series of swooping descents, gruelling climbs and fabulous views.
and there's always time for an Ice Cream at Ditchling Beacon.
As the shadows grow longer, we approach Eastbourne and the iconic Seven Sisters.
We ride into town, hoping for enough time to enjoy a swift pint before catching the train back to London.
