Wednesday 16th July
A long summer’s day spent riding the gravel paths of Surrey and Sussex, heading to the coast at Bognor. We’ll traverse both the North and South Downs, passing through the woodlands of the Arun Valley along the way.
Intinerary
We'll meet at Cyclefit on Store Street and head off across Hyde Park to join the Thames at Kew, following the towpath to Hampton Court.
A quick coffee stop in Claygate will break up the ride.
From Claygate, we’ll follow bridleways that wind across the commons toward Abinger Hammer.
After climbing Holmbury Hill, we’ll descend into the woodlands of the Upper Weald, stopping for a brief lunch in Cranleigh.
In the afternoon, we’ll ride through the woods to join the South Downs Way at Bignor Hill.
From there, it’s all downhill (I promise) to fish 'n' chips and a well-earned pint by the seaside before catching the train back to London.
