All the rides and adventures are created by Charlie, a keen passionate and experienced off road cyclist. With small groups of up 10 riders his adventures are tailored to maximise the experience and minimise the hassle!
On the ride
Accomodation
We use carefully chosen pubs that accentuate the experience, in England these are generally small 3 or 4-star hotels, in Granada we stay with locals in the Caves overlooking the Alhambra palace and in Romania local pensions.
Sometimes, especially in rural areas, standards may be more basic, it's all part of the fun!
Experienced Guide
Rides are fully guided, generally by Charlie, an experienced gravel rider and professional off-road cycling coach and founder of Hidden Tracks Cycling. With a British Cycling Rider Leader Qualification and years of experience leading and coaching, he'll ensure you have great experience on the ride
Ride Support
In addition to the riding guide, a backup vehicle driven by a trained mechanic shadowes rides, meeting the group regularly, driven by a trained mechanic we can sort out most bike issues, carry baggage and rescue those who ‘can’t take it’ any more!
Ride grades
Not everyone has the same fitness and skill level so all our rides are graded like ski runs, Green easy rides, Blue moderate rides, Red rides are more challenging and require a degree of fitness, Black rides are for the lycra clad enthusiasts
Day to day Luggage transfers
Concentrate on the riding, the scenery and the fun! We'll ensure all you bags magically appear in your hotel at the end of each day!.
Getting there
Made as easy as possible.
AIRPORT TRANSFER
Make your own way to the airport and we will pick you up and drop you back at the end of the trip, so you don’t have the hassle of finding taxis or struggling with local transport. (only available on scheduled arrival and departure days).
Getting your bike to the start
I know that I’d far prefer to ride a long trip on my own bike, it’s set up how I like, I know how it works and I’m comfortable in its saddle for the long days ahead but travelling with a bike box or bag is just one great big ball ache.
A modern-day torture, slow, incredibly expensive, bike boxes and bags are cumbersome, all in all just a boring hard start and end to any cycling holiday.
So to make it easier, get your bike to us in London and we will take it and your main luggage to the start, leaving you to enjoy the journey out - easy!
Bike Hire
New to Gravel riding and don’t have the right bike? No problems, we have teamed up with Cyclefit who will rent you a really decent ( I ride one) Titanium Landrace Gravel bike.
Book in advance and if you can, drop into the store in London and they will adjust it to suit you, Bike fits are their stock in trade, otherwise we’ll collect it and bring it to the start.
If you can’t get to London, we’ll pick it up for you and p bring it to the start, returning to at the end of the ride.
